Privacy Policy – Broadside Kings

This privacy policy describes how the mobile game Broadside Kings (the "App"), developed by Synthetic Mind AB ("we", "us"), handles information when you use it. Synthetic Mind AB is a company registered in Sweden and is responsible for the App under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In short: we do not collect, store or sell any personal information about you on our own servers. The App contains no advertising and no analytics of our own. Some features rely on services from Google (and Apple on iOS), which process data under their own privacy policies, as described below.

Information stored on your device

The App saves your game progress, which ships you own and your settings (such as sound volume) locally on your device. This information never leaves your device through us and is removed when you uninstall the App.

Google Play Games Services (leaderboards)

On Android, the App uses Google Play Games Services so you can sign in with your Play Games profile and compete on leaderboards. When you are signed in, your results (time survived and ships sunk) are sent to Google together with your Play Games player profile, and your gamer name and scores may be visible to other players on the leaderboards. Signing in is optional – you can play the whole game without it.

This data is processed by Google according to the Google Privacy Policy. You can manage or delete your Play Games profile and its data in the Google Play Games settings. On iOS, leaderboards are provided through Apple Game Center, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases

The App offers optional purchases of additional ships. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play (or the Apple App Store on iOS). We never receive your name, card details or other payment information. To unlock and restore your purchases, the App receives a purchase confirmation from the store, handled through Unity In-App Purchasing by Unity Technologies. Crash reports

If the App crashes, your device's operating system may send an anonymous crash report to Google or Apple, depending on your device settings. We may view these reports in aggregated form to fix bugs. They do not contain information we can use to identify you.

What we do not do

• We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers.
• We do not require you to create an account with us.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or other personal data.
• We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data about you, and to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). Since we do not store personal data ourselves, most requests are best handled directly in your Google or Apple account settings – but you are always welcome to contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
